citat An important research branch of the center for Biointerfaces is Molecular Imprinting and related supramolecular, polymer and materials chemistry. The group conducts research with bearings on several life science applications but with currently with a strong focus on fluid or cell surface biomarker detection and development of proteomics, lipidomics and glycomics discovery tools. The research comprises host guest chemistry of imprinted receptors, and their materials chemistry, colloid and surface chemistry. We design MIPs in various formats ranging from microparticles for use in bioseparations to micro or nanoparticles for omics or biomedical applications. citat
My research interests fall under the general area of supramolecular chemistry with a special devotion to the concept of molecular imprinting and templated synthesis. We are currently pursuing projects exploiting imprinted receptors as tools in proteomics, diagnostics, protein purification and cell or tissue imaging.
