I am an enthusiastic, result focused and experienced physical chemist with strong background on colloid and surface chemistry of biological systems. Main research interests cover relations between structure/function and composition of biological interfaces and biological colloids including diverse applications for industry.

Current positions held: 1) Scientist at Malmoe University, Malmoe, Sweden. Application to Associate Professor (Docent) title pending (90% of full time) and 2) Associate Professor at University of Copenhagen (10% of full time)
Publications Since 2003, 36 publications have been accepted for peer reviewed international journals, 1 paper was published as referee reviewed conference proceeding, 1 as book chapter and 4 as review articles. On December the 12th 2015, ISI web of science indicates 589 citations of my work and in average there are 15.9 citations per paper (H-index = 15) with 3 of them being cited more than 40 times.
Awards The AkzoNobel Research Prize in Surface and Colloidal Science, 2011. The Unesco/L’Oreal Prize for Women in Science, Denmark 2012.
Teaching experience I have plenty experience in teaching both theory and laboratories. At U.C.P.H. I have been course responsible of two 7.5 points bachelor compulsory course (Bionano 1 and 2) that deal with physical chemistry in life sciences (covering mainly thermodynamics, intermolecular forces, molecular transport, colligative properties and biochemistry). I also teach courses with respect to structural tools to study nanomaterials including atomic force microscopy, electron microscopy, neutron and x-ray scattering and ellipsometry. At the moment I act as main supervisor of two PhD students and I co-supervise 3 other PhD students at the Niels Bohr Institute, Department of Food Chemistry and the Pharmaceutical Faculty. I have undertaken a 1 year long pedagogic course and I was categorized as a natural born teacher.
