Johanna Lönn

Johanna Lönn is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Oral Biology, financially supported by The Knowledge Foundation as a promising early-career researcher. Her interest is understanding the pathogenesis of periodontitis and its association with cardiovascular disease, including studying modifications of plasma lipoproteins induced by periodontal infection. She also aims to identify key virulence factors, as well as host mediators, involved in disease development and find biomarkers as targets for diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for periodontal and cardiovascular disease.
