Christina Johnsson
Manager/Senior Lecturer

I am Head of Unit of Pedagogical Support at the University. We work with ensuring equal quality, accessibility and adaptability for students with disabilities. I work also as associate professor in public law and human rights. My research circles around the point of contact between the individual and the state/the public authorities and on how human rights, as a legal tool, can be used for preventing abuse and violation of human dignity. I have a particual interest in equality and non-discrimination, minority rights, human rights of women, and in human rights' demands on the state organisation, in terms of prioritization, approach, structure and leadership. I have worked as head of department during the last twelve years - here at the university, at the Swedish Equality Ombudsman and at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law - and from autumn 2019 I spend all my time researching on human rights based leadership and human rights demands on professions and university education.

Currently I head two courses at the Faculty within the teacher education programmes, one on pedagogical leadership, social relations and conflict prevention, and the other on scientific method and proven experience. I am also e member of the University Ethical Board and am adding a master in higher education to my doctoral degree.
