Research Assistant

Franziska Böhm has a Master of Science in Global Studies from Lund University. Her master thesis focused on a critical deconstruction of the Gramscian concept of hegemony illustrated by means of applying the framework of hegemony to the phenomenon of Arab nationalism. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Humboldt University in Berlin, exploring norm implementation on a transnational level during her bachelor thesis.

Franziska previously worked as a research assistant at Lund University within the project "Civil society elites? Comparing elite composition, reproduction, integration and contestation in European civil societies" and has prior experience from interning in a women’s rights organization ‘Deutscher Frauenring e.V.’ in Germany. Her research interests include global politics, political sociology, and conceptual development, as well as global effects and processes of migration. Being involved in the project NoVaMigra at MIM at Malmö University, she is looking forward to deepen her understanding through in-depth fieldwork and analytical work on norms and values and migration.
