Ivan Argatov

Ivan Argatov graduated from the Leningrad State University in 1991 where he got Diploma in Mechanics, and, in 1995, received C.Sc. (equiv. to Ph.D.) degree in solid mechanics. Since then, Dr. Argatov conducted intensive research in the field of contact mechanics with applications to tribology, and, in 2000, he obtained D.Sc. degree (Habilitation) from the St. Petersburg State University. During the last decade, he was deeply engaged in a number of multidisciplinary and industrially oriented research projects at several universities abroad (Finland, Germany, Mexico, Spain, South Korea, UK, USA). Dr. Argatov is author and co-author of more than 90 publications in international peer-review journals, three monographs and two graduate textbooks.
