Mix Tape Memories. Between Reclusiveness and Conviviality. Stories of migration, conflict, and change. The research is aimed to result in a monograph of 12 thematically related cases and life stories that reconstructs the journeys of enigmatic lives, tracing their course between private and public crossroads. The stories share a concern with migration, conflict, and change, while illustrating how the subject’s narration of memory is practiced and shaped in performative and creative remembrance genres across a variety of media. In the research the key sources spans conversations, interviews and focus groups; personal documents and material such as letters, diaries, photographs, objects, and therapy writing; as well as public forms of mediation such as columns, newsletters, autobiography/memoir and radio production
