citat Värdet av ekosystemtjänster är ett projekt där målet är att öka förståelsen för hur ekosystemtjänst-perspektivet kan integreras i kommunernas plan- och beslutsprocesser. Projektet gör detta genom att analysera kommunala plan- och beslutsprocesser där ekosystemtjänster (Ecosystem Services, ES) står på spel. De analyserade fallen väljs i samarbete med kustkommuner i Skåne och syftet är att identifiera faktorer som har positiv och negativ betydelse för implementering av ES inom kommunerna. citat
Jag är professor i växtfysiologi och min forskning fokuserar kring effekter av klimatförändringar och miljöeffekter på akvatiska miljöer. Forskningen inbegriper även studier av hur begreppet ekosystemtjänster används. En ökad förståelse av ekosystemens funktion är av stor betydelse när det gäller att skapa nationella och lokala ramverk som skall försöka att minska effekterna av klimatförändringarna på ekosystemen.
