I have a Master of Science in Global Studies from Lund University. My master thesis focuses on a critical deconstruction of the Gramscian concept of hegemony illustrated by means of applying the framework of hegemony to the phenomenon of Arab nationalism. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Humboldt University in Berlin, exploring norm implementation on a transnational level in my bachelor thesis.

I previously worked as a research assistant at Lund University within the project "Civil society elites? Comparing elite composition, reproduction, integration and contestation in European civil societies" and have prior experience from interning in a women’s rights organization ‘Deutscher Frauenring e.V.’ in Germany. My research interests include global politics, political sociology, global effects and processes of migration, as well as gender and the critical study of masculinities.

I am currently involved in the project NoVaMigra at MIM, the study of norms and values in European Migration and focus on gender equality in integration in Germany and studying the resettlement programme in Germany.
